COURSE PREP STARTS TOMORROW...

We are just over a week out from race day Cult Crossers. Course prep begins tomorrow and will become more vigorous as the week goes by. Look for another very fun and dynamic cyclocross challenge in 2013. The venue is is perfect shape. Pre registration will be at the American Inn in Eagle and they will be offering racers a $99 room on Saturday night for those of you who want to come up the eve prior to the race. Right now the long term forecast looks like very good weather for race day with a high temp of 51 degrees and cloudy, perfect. Stay tuned for more updates. The infamous Cult Cross hoodies are printed and ready for pick up and will go very fast as I've only had 30 made. I've also got a few t-shirts left from 2010 that will be for sale race day but only in medium and small sizes. See you next Sunday!

JUNIORS UNDER 18 RACE FREE THIS YEAR

The first race of the day will be juniors under 18. They will all race free and race for 30 minutes. Registration for all other racers is $25 and day of only. I'll post a registration sheet on line soon for you to download and have filled out prior to race day. Please be sure to write which category you will be racing on your reg sheet and a second race will be $10 for those of you who want to race more than once....

2pm-      Unofficial official Women's clydesdale Cyclocross World  Championship-rider and bike must weigh in at 175lbs at race start/40 mins.

3pm-    Womens Elite race/cash purse 5 deep/40mins 
4pm-    Mens elite race/cash purse 5 deep/50 mins.

OK CULT CROSSERS......

Calling all Cult Crossers. It's time for some regular updates as the race is ON. March 31st is your calling card and the town of Eagle is on board and has fattened up the cash purses for the elite men and women's fields. Payouts will be equal for these two categories. Categories will be as follows and I will have a flyer put together in the next week or two. Look for the following categories on Sunday, March 31st, 2013.

Juniors-race free, 18 and under.
"C" Category (beginner level racers only)
"B" Category (sport level racers, don't sand bag...you will be called ouy)
"A" or "Open" Category (top level racers including pro men and women)
Single Speed
Fat Bike Race (you know what I'm talking about)

**Considering Cult Cross to be the unofficial official women's Clydesdale world championships. The catch, rider and bike must weigh 180lbs. and will be weighed prior to the race. Bring it.**

Race entry fee will be $25, $10 for an additional race.

I'll also have hoodies made prior to race day. Same as previous style that we all wear proudly. If you guys or gals have questions, e-mail me at elgeea2b@gmail.com and title the e-mail "Cult Cross question".

I AM CURRENTLY WAITING ON THE TOWN OF EAGLE...

The Town of Eagle is currently reviewing my request for funds available to help promote and put on events in the town. The "marketing committee" will reivew my proposal then recommend to the Eagle Board of Trustees whether to fund Cult Cross 2013 or not. Stay tuned as I should know something in the next 3-4 weeks.

CULT CROSS 2013, MARCH 31ST, EAGLE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

We are on for March 31st, 2013 at the Eagle County Fairgrounds. It is "looking" like the town of Eagle will be on board as well as many other sponsors. I'm working on coming up with a pretty good cash purse for the open categories both men and women. I'm still not sure on categories but look for it to be similar to past Cult Cross races with A, B and C flights. If there is enough interest I'll go to an age group classification. There should be plenty of shwag to go around and I'll have more hoodies made as that is what everyone wanted last time, and I ran out! They will be affordable and cool. Stay tuned for more details as they come right here...see you in March.
